When we rented the house that we are in right now, one of the things that we loved was the beautiful hardwood floors throughout. However almost 2 years later, we have a crazy walker living with us. Suddenly the beautiful floors look more like death traps. When my son started crawling, I immediately went out and bought some rubber play mats. They work really well, but are really bright!! It feels like we live in a baby gym most days.
So imagine how excited I was to see that One Step Ahead has the mats in a hardwood floor pattern. They have two color choices Natural and Espresso. The Espresso is a great match for our floors. I can't wait to get some!!
**We at Little Orso are aware of the concern with some rubber mats containing Formamides. Formamides are said to cause cancer, and can be absorbed through breathing them in or through contact with skin. We have contacted One Step Ahead regarding this issue (back when we bought our first play mat set), and they swore that their product does not contain Formamides or any other harmful substance. I did find some articles on the internet that said that these chemicals were never in any of the popular large USA brands. However we felt the subject was worth a mention, so that you can do your own research and make your own decision regarding purchasing these mats. We would never intentionally suggest anything dangerous on this site.

I like how the mats match the hardwood pattern. Espresso is really one of the best selections of mats. Anyway, you can refinish your floor to make it look brand new, removing the scratches on your hardwood floor.
